Architecture and Design

Lalati Resort and Spa is a well-planned, environmentally "green" resort created to affect a minimal impact on the virgin surroundings. Construction of the main building honors the Fijian craftsmen of old, constructed in the "chiefly" manner with soaring ceilings, Fijian hardwood poles and specially woven pole designs. Villas and cottages mimic this construction, and each is a roomy 1,000 square feet of comfort and luxury. Grounds feature waves of tropical gardens, meandering paths, orchids, hibiscus and exotic floral displays.

The Bay

The resort sits at the edge of Malumu Bay on Beqa Lagoon. From the moment you dip your toes into these waters, you feel a spirit of adventure. Amazing creatures make their home right outside your door, from frogfish and leaf fish, to soft coral gardens and colorful anemones. It's the perfect spot for a guided coastal kayak trip, a sunset cruise, or just sitting in a chair and watching the spectacular Fijian sunrise. Beqa Lagoon features award winning snorkeling, diving and surfing, as well as resident dolphin pods that guide you on your journey to and from the resort.

The Spa

The Loloma Spa is a magical hideaway to soothe your soul. Rai and Oli, our gifted therapists, work their magic to the soft sound of the nearby surf and gentle tradewind breezes. Specialties of the house are the four-handed massage, moonlight massage on the pier, or for a total indulgence, the ultimate private island day spa. This features a Robinson Crusoe-like experience on a private uninhabited island, complete with kayaks, snorkeling gear, and your own private therapists at your disposal, only a radio call away.

The Cuisine

The "two Salomes" – our internationally trained chefs – whip up creations that constantly delight guests. You never know what wonderful dish will come out of Lalati's kitchen. The Salomes use only the freshest local produce, some of which is plucked from our own organic gardens, some caught fresh from the pure seas. They combine local delicacies with international flair, for meals that are memorable culinary treats. Once you try their signature hot chocolate soufflés, you'll be a convert for life!
